Dear Amanda,
Thank you for coordinating these events, and for the quick "how to run" notes for librarians hoping to add themselves to the week. I've added a column for wiki facilitators in the event table. I know of two events with facilitators already; if others are available to facilitate one of the remaining events, please add yourselves.
Countway's History of Medicine editathon should be particularly interesting - it has a fairly well-defined focus on History of Medicine, and there are very active wikiprojects to collaborate with.
Sam. (copying emw for old time's sake!)

Hello, all--
I've already met several folks here over email, who have all been very helpful in the planning stages, so some of this information may be a bit repetitive. However, I want to get the word out as broadly as possible.
Together with my co-organizer Amanda Strauss (Schlesinger Library at Radcliffe), I'm helping put together a series of Edit-a-thons at MA libraries, archives, and museums for Open Access/Wikipedia Loves Libraries Week: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Loves_Libraries/Open_Access...
We are generally enthusiastic but inexperienced, so really need your help! This is our first year in trying to organize a series like this, and we would love to have at least one experienced editor at each site. (As we contacted potential hosts, each and every one first asked about how to connect with a Wikipedia editor, so we think there are a lot of people eager to learn from you.)
Hopefully, since there are multiple sites, there will be a time and place that works for different schedules. You can see that we already have four sites signed up, so if you are willing and able to be a volunteer editor at any of these sites, please save the date.
As soon as we have the individual event pages for each site up, I'll send those around so you can sign up on Wikipedia, too, but I wanted to let folks know ASAP.
Also, please feel free to share this widely, and let me know if you have any suggestions on where else to publicize. And feel free to tell me if we are doing anything wrong!
Thanks, Amanda
