I actually have a meeting tonight with the main NYC organizers of this at Eyebeam, who are also sparking the general campaign, and I'll be glad to connect with them, and see how they'd like to work with a Boston area event.

Hi again peeps,
There is a great project afoot in which a series of edit-a-thons will take place in cities throughout North America on Saturday, February 1st. The theme is art + feminism. Here is the combined event page:

I would love to get something going on this for the Boston area. Would anyone be willing to take the reins on organizing it? You would need to: Find and confirm a location; set the time; be there for the duration of the event; be the point-person for any inquiries. We can recruit for it at the Jan 18th party, but I think we should have figured out logistics before then.
NB: I will be more than happy to attend the event and help present and/or tutor newbies. If I can find a committed host, I will also work with you to add the event to various Wiki pages + our Meetup.com group. I just don't have time to organize a full thing from scratch.
Ping me if this sounds interesting.
