Nicole, I don't think there has been a crossover. the Boston Photog group would be a great one to engage. And we could start with university libraries and museums, which tend to be especially open to such things. Getting permission to take / relicense good photos of major library works would likely be possible as well.

Do you know if any effort has been made to work with Boston museums? I know there's a big Boston Photography meetup. Also Boston MediaMakers has a lot of photographers and videographers willing to volunteer for the right projects. Maybe they'd be interested? Also, I have a library school friend who used to work at the MFA. She may be able to tell me who to contact about getting permission to take pictures for Wikipedia.
