My colleagues at Boston University and I are talking about hosting an event here at BU before Wikimania in South Africa.
One idea that we think we would be able to facilitate is something on the topic of the Global South, as mentioned here:

While our African Studies Library is interested in facilitating a translation-related event, this would be an event better attended during the school year.
Do you have any ideas for the event, or interest in perhaps attending? If so, please let us know.
We’re considering an early July date but are open to possibilities.
