Wow, this is really amazing and so useful! My one regret is that I had to give up my Android phone for an iPhone just last month -- long story, not relevant. Is there any other way to access data like this? The examples you've shared here are helpful to me, any way I can get one for the North Shore/Merrimack Valley area?

If you're interested in photographing places, I wrote an Android app that finds places that need photographs and plans a trip to visit them. Hi Gabriel,
I haven't heard back from the Social Studies teachers at school, and I'm wondering if you'd like me to put your list on the Lexington, MA parents' listserve.

I have a short list of Boston articles that need photos - primarily mid-late 20th Century history.

One idea might be to take kids to the Boston City Archives or the BPL to scan and upload photos. The Boston City Archives has agreed to put their photos in the public domain so they can be uploaded to Wikimedia Commons.

In short: all of them. Bits and pieces here and there are up to par, but really there's just not enough editors (particularly those with experience referencing, formatting, obtaining free-use images, etc) thus far to make everything high quality. A lot of the articles are patchwork with varying styles and quality.
I've been working on MBTA and related articles for about the past 2 years. I've made progress on a number of articles, and I'm currently preparing to blitz the high-priority articles (those about each line, downtown transfer stations, etc) fairly soon. If there's a couple who have any interest in working with railroad / transit history, I'd be glad to help them.

Hi there,
Thanks, sounds great. How do we find out which neighborhoods or which periods of local history are in particular need of more research?

Hey all,
I would love to help out with this, as I know people in the Boston area who
could help with rail articles, and I can help out with general history, although I specialize more in modern military history around the city.

It could be fun to have students working on articles covering Boston
neighborhoods and local history.
Thanks, Richard (User:Pharos)
