Dear all -- forwarding on behalf of my MIT colleague -- a virtual
edit-a-thon this week! All are welcome.
best,

---
Join us the week of August 17 - 21 for the Black, Indigenous, and People of
Color (BIPOC) Design Virtual Wikipedia Edit-a-thon and learn about the
BIPOC in the Built Project, a collaborative effort between student
researchers in the MIT School of Architecture + Planning and MIT Libraries.
During the Edit-a-thon, participants will build community while creating
new and editing existing Wikipedia pages of BIPOC designers.
After a *short introduction held live via Zoom on August 17 at 3pm*, stay
for the kick-off of our week-long virtual Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon where
attendees can participate in training and begin editing Wikipedia pages of
designers who have left their mark on the fields of art, architecture, art
history, activism, landscape architecture, urban planning, urban design and
more connected to the built environment. No prior experience editing
Wikipedia is required and edit live or at your leisure.
RSVP here to attend the introduction and to get the daily zoom links to the
live editing events and slack channel. Help us track edits by registering
your user name through the dashboard link in the calendar RSVP and get a
schedule for the week.
