Hey all,
I would just like to let everyone know that Maia and I have been working on a survey for members of the user group to see the direction in which people would like to see us move in the coming year. It should take you no more than five to ten minutes to complete, but we are interested in learning more about what everyone thinks about how things have worked in the last year, as well as where we can improve in the future.
If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me individually, as I would be happy to help. I would ask that everyone try to please fill out the survey in the next week or so, so that we an tabulate the data within the coming weeks.

LibreOffice Hackfest July 26-27 in Boston
LibreOffice is holding an awesome WEEKEND HACKFEST, this weekend, July 26-27 in Boston, and we're looking for new volunteers to join us for two intense days of coding, bug fixing, triaging, designing, and documenting.
Don't worry, we're not going to let you starve. We'll have pizza, sandwiches, drinks, and FREE T-SHIRTS for all of our hackfest participants. WARNING: Please do not try to eat the T-shirts.
Why should you attend? The free food.
Why should you stick around? The Free Software.
LibreOffice wants to make it even *easier* for you and your friends to MIGRATE AWAY from PROPRIETARY OFFICE SUITES, but we're going to need
your help to make that possible.
If you're a WICKEDLY-good C++ hacker, a python DABBLER, a technical writer, a walrus, a bugzilla novice, an ENTHUSIASTIC LibreOffice user, or somewhere IN-BETWEEN, then we want to see YOU at LibreOffice's first Boston hackfest.
We have limited seating for the event, but we'll definitely be BACK TO Boston in THE FUTURE, so feel free to sign up in the 'Standby' section and we'll call you up the next time we're planning something!
We're looking forward to working with you!

Hello Fellow Wikimedians,
I am pleased to announce that New England Wikimedians’ website has officially launched, located here: http://ne-wikimedians.org/. I would encourage everyone to create an account if you plan on editing, as accounts are required for editing (to prevent spam). Also, since we are hosted on Wikimedia DC’s website servers, you will be unable to use your account details from any accounts that you run on Foundation wiki’s, and you will need to create a new account, unless you already have one on the WikiConference USA site or their own wiki. Everyone is welcome to modify what is already there and use it for our outreach work.
Also, I forgot to mention this yesterday, but if anyone is interested in helping out in a more official capacity this year, please let me or Maia know, as we are happy to have any help, no matter what your skill level.
Finally, if anyone has any suggestions or questions, please feel free to e-mail me, regarding both the site and helping out in the coming year. I will also send an e-mail to other mailing lists in the next few hours to announce this site (so my apologies ahead of time for double-posting), but I figured that I would announce it to the user group first before we made an official announcement to the global community.

Hey all,
Just a reminder, but our general meeting is occurring in one week. Please sign up if you are interested, as it will occur next Saturday from 12-3 at the main branch of the Boston Public Library. Food will be served, and we will be discussing many things.
I hope to see you there, and have a beautiful Sunday afternoon!
