Hello Fellow Wikimedians,
After a talk with Pharos last night, we decided that we should hold a meeting soon to figure out to plan for the future of Wikimedia New England. I have created a Doodle poll (http://www.doodle.com/9is5qfay7b6ywpyb) so that we can pick out a day to do this before the summer ends, and I’ll end the poll in a week so that we can quickly nail down a date and find a place to make this happen. Anyways, I hope that you all are enjoying this wonderful New England day, and I will e-mail you all in a week once we pick out a date.

Aha! One of the pillars of the Cambridge Peace Commission, Brian
Corr, is an early Wikipedians, which seems fortuitous for your
project.
You might come to one of our upcoming meetups to recruit interest; or
post the idea to our mailing list: which I copy here. Brian, what do
you think of this idea?
Warm regards,
Sam.

For those interested in annotation data, this is a good time to inform the
development of the Annotator framework.

Hi all,
I've pushed a branch with some very early-stage work on Annotator v2.0. I'm
focusing mainly on extracting most of the persistence logic from core
Annotator, and simplifying the Store plugin requirements through use of an
intermediate Registry object.
If anyone has any feedback, it would be gratefully received:
https://github.com/okfn/annotator/compare/master...wip
In particular, the new Registry:
https://github.com/okfn/annotator/blob/208498c/src/registry.coffee
And dramatically slimmed down Store plugin:

Dear colleagues around the world,
I know not all of you speak Swedish (if any?) but I wanted to share our

The Wiknic should be starting in around 10 minutes from now. I am,
according to my phone's GPS, right at the spot indicated on the map,
wearing a brown tee shirt that says Wikimania 2012.
If anyone else is here please email me.

This sounds like a totally amazing position. You have to live in
College Park and cover your own relocation, but it pays well for a
pure free-culture and knowledge-liberation job :-) And Dominic can
tell you about the great people you'd be working with. (Hey, Dominic
- are you applying for this?!)
You have just under a week to apply.
Warmly,
SJ

media and online access platforms depending on NARA's participation,
collaborations, and projects as directed.. To support these efforts,
the Office of Innovation develops, maintains and coordinates: the
description program; agency-wide business architecture; metadata
standards and authorities; and provides internal digitization labs,
