If you want to be involved in the WikiJournals again, I do think showing a little less hubris would do you well. Your use of phrases and statements, which I do believe you think to be persuasive, you are instead showing you do not understand the weight of your actions. This includes statements like: "I can certainly hope that the board members of the respective WikiJournals be wise." The board was wise in regard to "people who deal with issues pertaining to equity and/or empowerment of certain minorities." People who deal with issues pertaining to equity and/or empowerment do not need to accept inappropriate behavior. I have mentioned certain good attributes that I have felt to be essential for the board members. If you do not have them, try and acquire them. If you have them, congratulations. Stop detecting hubris when it is not there. Nevertheless, I do have integrity and dedication something I doubt whether you have ever been able to respect. Earlier you had detected discrimination when it was not there. At least learn from your previous mistakes (well you would need to appreciate them first).

Recall that Diptanshu had resigned earlier from the WikiJournal of Medicine Board, and the WikiJournal Council, narrowly pre-empting a removal for harassment. (cf. https://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Talk:WikiJournal_of_Medicine/Editorial_board...)
Diptanshu's earlier e-mail seems to be a continuation of his campaign to argue that the accusations of harassment were overblown. And Diptanshu's response continues the same patronizing-defensive behavior he showed in his earlier communications on the harassment matter, in this case admonishing Jackie to "forsake [her] personal ego" and belittling her statement of feeling uncomfortable about Diptanshu's behavior.
In short: In terms of Diptanshu's not realizing and acknowledging in full what he did wrong (back then and now), and instead telling those around him what to do, this seems to be heading in the same direction as the earlier long e-mail exchange that led to the initiation of the board removal procedures.
Thomas, Mikael: Could you please take additional steps now, before history repeats itself?

- First thing first, "assume good faith" - You really don't need to go down the rabbit hole. There was a clear learning message in the email. Accept it and call it a day. - Caring for the well-being of the journal should be a priority more than any personal ego. Realise that. - You might have missed Thomas's email. This mailing list reaches a lot of people and therefore does not seem to be the best place to go down the rabbit hole - You can accept the learning lesson, or not. I had communicated that I expect the board members to be wise and to accept the learning lesson. Nevertheless, the choice is yours. Irrespective of anything, you need not send others down the rabbit hole.

I would have assumed that his resignation was "under a cloud", that is, the removal motion would be nearly certain to have carried forward and would have achieved the same effects.
And Dipanshu, regurgitating and frequently mentioning policy names like "assume good faith" doesn't mean anything if you don't act upon it. Assuming good faith only extends up to a certain point until the other party exhibits clear evidences of bad faith. I think I can speak for most, if not all, that we have crossed that bridge already. Even after your resignation from the board, you still continued to exhibit battleground mentality and trying to "settle the score".
At this point, I am seriously pondering whether we should declare him as persona non grata from the project and the mailing list.

Your concern about long emails on an official list is salient and I would try to take care of the issue. You were removed from the board. As a person who was involved in the situation which culminated in you being removed from the board, I am uncomfortable with you continuing to communicate on behalf of the WikiJournals, on the WikiJournal mailing list, and on social media.
If you want to be involved in the WikiJournals again, I do think showing a little less hubris would do you well. Your use of phrases and statements, which I do believe you think to be persuasive, you are instead showing you do not understand the weight of your actions. This includes statements like: "I can certainly hope that the board members of the respective WikiJournals be wise." The board was wise in regard to "people who deal with issues pertaining to equity and/or empowerment of certain minorities." People who deal with issues pertaining to equity and/or empowerment do not need to accept inappropriate behavior. People who deal with issues pertaining to equity and/or empowerment have been doing that for way too long.

I can only hope that the board members of the respective WikiJournals be wise. This is especially relevant to people who deal with issues pertaining to equality and/or empowerment of certain minorities. It can be awefully problematic if they lack such wisdom.
