When you create bot password, have you checked the following items under the “Applicable grants” column?
l Edit existing pageshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:ListGrants#editpage
l Edit protected pageshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:ListGrants#editprotected (If you would like also edit pages with protection, and you have the permission to do so)

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I really do not know where to ask instead.
When I try to make some test edits in the main instance with my recently accepted bot, I receive the message: "permissiondenied: You do not have the permissions needed to carry out this action." I am logged in with my User@bot-username and my bot-password and use Wikibase-CLI.
What do I do wrong?
