Hmm, good point - it would never keep up. However, a bot would be able
to work on images already uploaded if we implemented a system right
into MediaWiki.
Perhaps a bugzilla?

That bot would have to download all files, in full scale, from all projects. It
would never catch up with uploads. It would also be inheritely silly... it's
easy to just include that info in the image meta data stored on upload. But it
would require a change to the db schema, so it has to be coordinated carefully
with server admins. and someone has to write the code, obviously.
