I'm not sure if this is even the right place to post it, but I when working with templates, especially infobox standardization, I would like to know how many times a specific parameter is used, and optionally find out on which pages it's being used. I was thinking this could be a useful addition to the templatecount.py script, though it might be more fit for a wmflabs tool (in which case I'm posting this to the wrong list...).
My Python skills are nowhere near the level at which I would attempt to try this myself, so maybe someone here will take the challenge. Maybe a tool like this already exists, though my preliminary googling didn't return any useful results.

Right, so creating a (temporary, at least in my case) hidden category with something like {{#if:{{{param|}}}|[[Category:Pages using {{{param}}}]]{{{param}}} }} and then running touch.py on pages using the template to purge them? That could work for me, yeah.
