It has been quite a while since I tried to contribute code to pywikibot. Yesterday, after setting up git on my computer and rechecking my gerrit account, I did try to commit a tiny change, only to find out that I am not a member of the "pywikibot" group on gerrit.wikimedia.org. How do I get myself added to this group?

Welcome back! Anyone should be able to add changes to Pywikibot, see https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/q/project:pywikibot%252Fcore+status:open . I don't see any new open changes at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/q/owner:russblau@imapmail.org . Did you try to commit directly to the master branch? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Gerrit/Tutorial/tl;dr is quite useful if you're a bit rusty on Gerrit.
Maybe do a couple of changes and a bit of code review to get back into the game? I'm more than willing to give you +2 again if others support it too.

Hi,
in January removed CR+2 rights for all those members who were inactive on pywikibot repository for many years. I am fine with re-granting this right then.
