Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: Interface Improvements (example) Group: None
Status: Closed
Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Have editarticle.py use CLI arguments
Initial Comment: It would nice if editarticle could be passed an argument which it would use to determine what article to edit instead of insisting on getting that information through stdin after printing "Page to edit:". Help would be nice, as well. Perhaps it could mention that since the tkinter thing fails everytime I've tried it, one should rather add editor = "$EDITOR" to user-config.py?

Currently, it can be passed with the -p (--page) option.
I've submitted a patch to also fill that in with the first command line argument, since I think that's more intuitive. -Steve
