I never heared about until that bug tracker. Maybe it started before I became a pwb
developer in 2009. Anyway I guess most of bot owner does not know it (as most of them does
not use rewrite branch). Since the scripts and the main core methods are the same or quite
similar (you know I don't like separate developments for the two branches) I am
unhappy splitting the bug tracker, maybe it's the only way to migrate to the new
tracker (until bugzilla is coming ;)

Yes. The original idea was to switch to JIRA (~ 2006), and as it was
hard to convert all existing bugs, and everyone would be using the
rewrite in the near future anyway, the idea was to switch to JIRA for
te rewrite only.
In general, I think it makes sense to split off the bugs, as the code
base is completely different. Adding a link somewhere might not be a
bad idea, though
