Hi all,
The vote on FoP just passed.
The negative text by Cavada was dropped by 502 to 40.
The positive text by Schaake didn't pass by 228 to 303.
The report as a whole was accepted with 445 to 65 with 32 abstentions.
The question we need to discuss in Mexico is how we will tackle the Commission to propose something on FoP and what other points from the report we should focus on.
Thanks everyone, we almost manage to achieve a full swing, which is a very tough feat to get done in 3 weeks.
Cheers, Dimi

It will take a while for the services to patch that together. But good news is that ancillary copyright also didn't pass.

Thanks a lot, Dimi!
I know how much effort you put into this case. Of course we are not at the final final point. But I want to use the vote to send you a big thank you.
See you in Mexico!

Hi all,
Thanks to Nemo, who poked the EP services we have a full list of the MEPs who co-signed Marietje Schaake's amendment. I am attaching it.
This is a good place to start cultivating allies for the actual Commission proposal. If you see some surprising name from your country, feel free to write a "thank you" message and offer to meet and help.

This we should definitely do. Let's list all the MEPs to whom we should extend our gratitude. (Not necessarily on this mailing list though.)
We will, as noted, find them among the Schaake's co-signatories. I will look through the plenary debate and see if I can identify additional people there that should get a thank you note.
MEPs who have indicated on Twitter or through the media that they have stood on our side (supporting the Schaake AM or the deletion alternative) should of course also be included.

Hi all,
Yes, adopting the Report was a roll-call vote (which means all the MEPs names and their voting behaviour are recorded).
The Schaake amendment however wasn't. We only have the totals. The first next step for us has to be to gather as much information on who voted how so we can draw up a game plan for the next phase. We can either read peoples' statements or ask them directly.
I can make an educated assumption that the EPP voted against and the S&D was at least split. ALDE, Greens and EFDD must have voted in favour. I'd have three first priorities that I'll try to figure out: 1. Did at least some EPPs vote for (e.g. the Polish delegation) 2. How did the S&D split occur (I assume IT & AT voted for, but what about UK & DE?) 3. Did the ECR vote indeed for or stick with the EPP line?
Cheers, Dimi
