Dear All,
we have been working on the landing page for our community we can link to. We have now created one: https://fixcopyright.wikimedia.org/ and working on all possible language versions -*if you can help with the translations please get in touch*. Not much text to work on!
The great feature of it is that it allows for a more randomised and personalized messages to be sent to our MEPs so that it allows people to make it theirs but does not require them to write everything from scratch. Please spread the word in your communities, tweet and post about it, with the #fixcopyright mention. Anybody can use the tool to write assorted MEPs about the issues they care about.
We are also finishing work on the more inside-community information why all this is important, which we will share too very soon. Bear with us!
Cheers,
Anna
Hello Anna,
Thank you very much for all the great work the PP group has been doing on this.
I can help translating it to Portuguese. Please tell me what should I do.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Paulo

Hi Paulo!
We rely on the community to help us with translations. Glad you're asking!
Anyone who wants to translate the page, should work on translatewiki.net and get in touch with me first. Because of limited capacity over the weekend, we have a special workflow for tomorrow until Sunday night.
I'll be in touch with you off-list.
Best, Jan

I can help with Spanish (and Catalan, but I guess Spanish is a priority).

thank you for putting together this very impressive campaign page! I translated the Hungarian messages on translatewiki.net (for the EUCopyrightCampaign extension https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate/ext-eucopyrightcampaign?group=ext-eucopyrightcampaign&language=hu&filter=&action=proofread and skin https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate/ext-eucopyrightcampaign?group=ext-eucopyrightcampaign&language=hu&filter=&action=proofread); let me know if I can help in any other way. Also please let me know when the translation is live so I can start spreading the link.
One small issue: T203928 https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T203928 - not life and death but would make the text of the email smoother.
Hi Gergö
Thanks for your help! It looks like the next possibility for this and other language versions to go live is tomorrow evening Pacific Time.
I'll get back to you as soon as I know an exact time.
Best, Jan

Hello,
The Portuguese version for https://fixcopyright.wikimedia.org/ does not seem to be working (I'm using FireFox).
Also the banner at the Wikipedia in Portuguese should be being displayed for all European IPs, but apparently it's only showing in Portugal, and only for anonymous users (I'm not sure it is showing at all? it's showing with https://pt.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikip%C3%A9dia:P%C3%A1gina_princi... ). We have large communities of expatriates and luso-descendants in France, Luxembourg and Belgium, at least - It makes sense to show it to the whole Europe, instead of restricting it only to Portugal - and it is allowed by the community decision at our Village Pump.
If it is possible to display it for all European IPs, I believe the introductory text should be changed to something like "leitores de Portugal e Europa".
Paulo
