Hi!
There are two bugs related to the "read in" feature both on the Wikipedia app than on the Wikipedia Beta app for Android.
1) even in my language is -e.g.- English if I am reading an article in Italian and I use the search feature I would expect to be searching on it.wp and not on en.wp (I told about this to the dev's at Wikimania, this is just a remind :)
2) if my language is English but I'm reading an article in Italian and I use the share feature I will be sharing the en.wp article instead of the it.wp one, as it should be. (I don't know if this bug is already known)
Thanks,
Jaqen

I'm not sure the latter is what I'd expect; but perhaps in both cases the app should ask which language the user wants to search/ share in?

This is definitely a bug, and it's quite nasty. Thanks a lot for reporting this. I'll file it.

Thanks for pointing out these inconsistencies.
We are re-designing the conventions around language use in a way that will be more consistent and intuitive.
The apps are currently an island in terms of how language works, and an upcoming release of the mobile beta site will illustrate the new conventions. It would be great to get your feedback once we release the beta.
Stay tuned. The new beta will be announced on this list.
