Hello everyone!
I just started as a technical assistant for Wikimedia Finland and my task is to teach GWToolset among other things. However, I have some problems with it since nothing gets uploaded to the Commons Beta.
Here is one record from my XML:
<record>
dc:authorSanteri Levas</dc:author> dc:subjectThe lady of the Ainola household sitting resting in the sun</dc:subject> <dc:source lang="en">The Finnish Museum of Photography</dc:source> <dc:source lang="fi">Suomen valokuvataiteen museo</dc:source> dc:rightsCc-by-sa-4.0</dc:rights> <url>http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7437/11064002985_a17cab711c_n.jpg</url>
</record>
Is there something wrong with it? Everything goes well to the final stage without errors but nothing is uploaded. Also the domain staticflickr.com seems to be on the whitelist.
Maybe you could help a newcomer little bit?
Best regards, Ari

Nothing jumps out at me. You may want to double check for odd use of "&" or "--" which may cause issues.
If you header line were wrongly formed this might also cause it to drop out, or there might be an issue that is related to the particular way you are mapping to the Commons template.
I suggest testing by cutting down your test set to, say, a basic 3 records and testing it on beta. If that does not work then by all means share the 3 record long xml file here and we might spot something.

Thanks for your response.

This is the mapping I made: http://commons.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/GWToolset:Metadata_Mappings/A...
I'm using Artwork template since others seems to give error:
There is no <templatedata> block for template Art_Photo. If possible, add a <templatedata> block to the template, or to the template's TemplateBox.
I'm quite clueless at the moment. Any advice is highly appreciated. If someone had a working sample file (for example from Flickr), that would be also helpful.
Regards, Ari

This appears to be a bug in the beta cluster version, but not in the production environment. We could raise this in bugzilla if it persists, at the moment (based on me trying a few variations) it appears as if nothing is getting queued from the GWT to upload there.
See https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:GWT_test_run_for_Ar... - please either add to the photo descriptions or raise a DR to remove these 3 test files. If you use the same naming convention, a re-run can overwrite the texts.
I suggest you try another small batch run in the live environment until you are confident for the full run.
Cheers, Fae
Thanks a lot!
So there is no way test GWToolset at the moment? I really could use sandbox before going real...
I'll ask for deletion since these were partly dummy data.
