We are planning for the next year and are writing our FDC application. Is Goal 1 already done or will it be done this year? The project page is a little bit unclear on the project plan.

Hi Jan,
Yes, time for an overhaul and update of the project page.
The Wikimedia Foundation's Multimedia team have tentatively scheduled the deployment to the month of October. We're currently busy with code review and architectural review of the first release. So if the tentative schedule holds we should be able to start uploading in November. Apologies for not being able to be more precise.
