Jambo wote,
I have been busy this past month with OLPC projects as some of you
know. It has been really exciting and I must say while at it, I got to
create a number of opportunities where we could possibly work hand in
hand. Especially in creating content (The Kenya Syllabus ZIM file)
I also distributed the Offlione Wikipedia to Teachers in Kisumu,
Butere, Bungoma, Taita and Kampala and they all were so excited.
Today we are meeting the Assistant Minister for Higher Education who
will introduce us to the KIE guys ( whom we really tried hard to loop
in during the Offline Project in vain ).
I am sure to loop in our Offline Project to the Minister and the KIE
guys and see if we could get some support from them.
We have lots of rely Education oriented activities lined up for the
year and am sure we as WMKE will feature in many of them.
So stay tuned :-)
Yours,

\the eligible and energetic members of WMKE who showed interest in
representing us at the Chapters Conference in Berlin.

So Officially Stephen and Alex will be our representatives to the Chapters
Conference in Berlin this year.
PS: Alex,
I understand you have some history with the German Embassy, should their
arise a problem, I would like David to be on standby.
Abbas will notify Harel and you should make it your own responsibility to
start making travel plans and being updated on the conference (
http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Conference_2012) including adding
your details.
Please make presentation plans about the State of our Chapter( its a
strictly 3 min ppt)

Hey everyone!
Literally speaking 11th should be best for physical meet up. Also a time limit should be set for the nominees for instance by tomorrow noon all Bios should have bn documented at the wiki page.
If a willing participant has not done so then perhaps they may be locked out of the polls. That's just but an easy way of getting things done fast.
However, those available tomorrow should still hook up.
regards,
Lilian.

MY BIO
My name is Sarah Awuor.I joined wikimedia Kenya in 2010 and have I been
contributing to Wikimedia Kenya in a number of ways. I took part in the
Wikipedia for schools project early last year in Western province.A project
that saw us install the offline version of Wikipedia to ten schools. I am
very updated/aware of the ongoing of the soon to be be approved Wikimedia
Kenyan chapter since I have been attending most of the meetups, including
the following meetups for last year:
- Heathers Meetup at iHub
- WikiSaturday at Strathmore
- WikiSaturday at JKUAT
I Was part of the team that organized the celebrations of Wikipeadia’s
tenth anniversary at Strathmore University. I have the passion and zeal to
represent Wikimedia Kenya and I realy would love to meet and interact with
other female Wikipedians so that I can learn and help attract female
Wikipedians here in Kenya.
Thank you for all for your support in this.

Sarah Awuor Osano
Hi folks,
I have been monitoring Steve's Etherpad and I have not seen much
activity on it. I would like to suggest that we nominate our reps to
Chapters Conference through the list and if more than two people will
be willing, I will be more that happy to administer the doodle vote (
I am not interested)
We really have a tight timeline to stick to so if you would like to
Nominate someone or yourself, please do so on the list (with a good
enough reason and proof of dedication to WMKE IMO :-) ) . We have
less than three days for that so lets do this ASAP.
And then we can schedule the Board election meetup to the 11th as
suggested in order to make better preparations for the same.
Yours,
