Hi all,
I just recently merged a change [1] which changes the default version
of the "edithelppage" message, to point to
[[Special:MyLanguage/Help:Editing_pages]] on
MediaWiki.org (Instead of
a help page on the local wiki). This message controls the target of
the help link shown at the bottom of the edit form. Note, this does
not include the link from the sidebar, only the link from the edit
page. The change is meant to make sure that the defaults in mediawiki
point to a reasonable help page.
If you have a customized editing help page set up on your wiki, and
you want to keep the link pointing there, simply create
MediaWiki:Edithelppage on your wiki. Many wikis already do this. (If
the page Mediawiki:Edithelppage actually exists, i.e. you can view its
"history", then the link will not be changed)
As of this writing, a list of wikis where the edit help page currently
is not customized, and hence will be changed is at
