Ah, sorry, my fault. Instead of looking for more clue on bugzilla I
should have re-read to find all the negations in the sentence. :) Thanks.

This request is still valid: the old outdated translations are not
decreasing.

As you probably know by now, Wikimania 2016 Esino Lario wants to achieve
a Wikimania format which allows people to "get things done" and leave
the conference fully satisfied with the result of their investment of
time and other resources (see pillars 2 and 4:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_2016_bids/Esino_Lario/Pillars ).
For this purpose, we consider all audiences (see
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_2016_bids/Esino_Lario/Program#Tar…
).
Participants other than scholarship recipients and reimbursed
representatives are one group we heard very little from, but we think
they are important because: 1) they have financial resources and help
make the Wikimania budget sustainable; 2) they have motivation to share
and ideas on what makes Wikimania valuable.
We set up this form mainly to collect names of some such people and talk
with them later: if you provide your contact, we may write you on this
topic. We may release aggregate data from the resposes; data will be
handled by us and the Wikimania 2016 fiscal sponsor "Ecomuseo delle
Grigne" (under EU law). Please fill the whole form, it's short!

Feel free to forward this invite to anyone.

Not in my sentence above; perhaps in someone else's, as Markus said (25
Feb 2013 17:08:40 +0100). That's an unfortunate confusion, I'm glad that
the chapters association didn't make this mistake.

What about the automatic clearing of the stash? Wasn't that made more
aggressive at some point?

It seems the Google Drive API doesn't have specific terms of use, only
the generic ones at https://developers.google.com/terms/
Relevant passages may be:
5e. Prohibitions on Content
Unless expressly permitted by the content owner or by applicable law,
you will not, and will not permit your end users or others acting on
your behalf to, do the following with content returned from the APIs:
Scrape, build databases, or otherwise create permanent copies of
such content, or keep cached copies longer than permitted by the cache
header;
[...]
8b. Your Obligations Post-Termination
Upon any termination of the Terms or discontinuation of your access to
an API, you will immediately stop using the API, cease all use of the
Google Brand Features, and delete any cached or stored content that was
permitted by the cache header under Section 5.
Forwarding, because apparently news don't reach Wikidata translators.
In short: update translations at
<https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special:LanguageStats#sortable:4…>
please.

Oggetto: Help update invalidated translations on Meta

A: Wikimedia Translators <translators-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
As a result of a recent software update, a change requested by some
Wikidata users has been enabled on Meta.[1]
Now the outdated translations, marked by the !!FUZZY!! markers in
translation units pages, are hidden from the translation pages: where
you used to see pink-coloured paragraphs, there's now the English text.
We have about 700 such translations on Meta, because some hard-working
users are migrating several pages to Translate: updating them is often
very quick, and you'll restore readers with sometimes crucial pages in
their language; just remember to remove the !!FUZZY!! tag when you're done.
You can see the pages that need updating LanguageStats for your
language:

One of the things I like most of Wikimania is reading people's notes
etc. about it, e.g. starting from
* https://wikimania2016.wikimedia.org/wiki/Attendees
* https://wikimania2016.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges
* https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wikimania_2016_presentations
(make sure to add yours!).
Having chaired the scholarship committee this year, I want to remind
everyone that the scholars are working on the outcomes of their
attendance, to be described or pointed to from
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:TPS/Wikimania_scholars#Reports_from_…
.
Whether you attended Wikimania or not, consulting this material is
useful; even more useful if you comment on the respective talk page. You
could point out what you found most interesting, or give suggestions on
how achievements could be further advanced (maybe with inspiration from
other attendees, current or past), or what else you'd like to see. Such
comments will be useful for the author of the report (and their
community), for other wikimaniacs and for next year's scholarship
committee too.
If you instead have comments on specific applications (or granted
scholarships), e.g. because you don't understand the committee's
decision, and you can't post them on any talk page, feel free to throw
them at me (e.g. at wikimania-scholarships(a)wikimedia.org ). I may reply
on your talk page, as my responses can't contain private information
anyway, and I can usually shed light on the thought process or the
mechanism which led to a certain outcome. Understanding the system is
necessary both to work with it as is and to change it; this is how I
interpret transparency.

This is not very helpful. Any shared server will have restrictions, but
this doesn't mean that you always need your own.
It might be a language barrier, but I assure you that from the outside
it's impossible to understand what do you need and why do you need to
follow this path.
Anyway, good luck. And try also to contact WM-HU and WM-PL, which have
some servers on their own [not only for you].
