Hi everyone,
Is anyone experienced in Commons mass-uploading and interested in a small job?
I know an organization that wants to upload a few hundred images to Wikimedia Commons with rich metadata. The images will be ready sometime over the next few months.
They would like to hire someone to do the uploading. Please contact me if you're interested.
Cheers,
Su-Laine (user:Clayoquot)
*The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)* is seeking a creative and driven
Wikipedian In Residence (WIR) to improve coverage of their collections on
Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, and Wikidata. PAMM is a modern and
contemporary art museum dedicated to collecting and exhibiting
international art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
MUSEUM: https://www.pamm.org
The WIR would be helping PAMM establish Wikipedia programming
institution-wide. The Wikipedian In Residence will work closely with the
digital team at PAMM with access to curators and staff for support and
training.

On Wikidata, the WIR will add structured data and expand items about
painting objects, artists, collections, installations, exhibits, and
events. On Wikimedia Commons, photos of living artists will be taken and
added with appropriate categorization. On Wikipedia, the WIR will improve
articles about PAMM's artists, their key collections, and the notable art
movements of which they are a part. The WIR will also engage community
through edit-a-thons, virtual events, and staff trainings.
They WIR will have a dedicated, expert strategic advisor helping them
onboard into the role and plan their activities with weekly check-ins and
ongoing support.
ADVISOR: https://www.wikiblueprint.com
A good candidate will have some (but not necessarily all) of the desired
skills and experience. We encourage a diversity of candidates to apply even
if your resume doesn't meet every qualification.

Hi all,
I'll be at the Wikimedia Summit this weekend and hope to capably represent
WREN's POV and interests in the discussions around implementing Strategy
2030.
Some other WREN folks who I know will be there in other capacities - Tochi
Precious, Richard Knipel, Florence Devouard, and Mike Dickison. If there
are thoughts from anyone on Strategy 2030 and what we do, please let me
know, or feel free to use the email list.
Also, last call for newsletter items! They are publishing very soon. Even a
pointer to a Wikimania presentation would be fine, which is what I did for
the USA report.
