- The new version https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.35/wmf.16 of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 21 January. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 22 January. It will be on all wikis from 23 January (calendar https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.35/Roadmap).

It will no longer support Python 2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:Python_(programming_language). Use the python2 tag if you need to continue running Python 2 scripts.
