- [image: Recurrent item] The new version https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.36/wmf.20 of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 1 December. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 2 December. It will be on all wikis from 3 December (calendar https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.36/Roadmap).

Future changes

- The iOS Wikipedia app https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Apps/Team/iOS will show readers more of the article history. They can see new updates and easier see how the article has changed over time. This is an experiment. It will first be shown only to some iOS app users as a test https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/en:A/B_testing. You can use Quarry https://quarry.wmflabs.org/, PAWS https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/PAWS or other ways to do this. To make the Wiki Replicas stable there will be two changes. Cross-database JOINS will no longer work. You can also only query a database if you connect to it directly. This will happen in February 2021.
