- The latest version of MediaWiki (1.24wmf10 https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.24/wmf10) was added to test wikis and MediaWiki.org on June 19. It will be added to non-Wikipedia wikis on June 24, and to all Wikipedias on June 26 (calendar https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki_1.24/Roadmap).

I am interested in where the community consultation for this change has taken place, and seeing the broad consensus that arose for imposing upon the wikis.
I am also interested to seeing more reliable information provided in what is meant by "copyright tags". At present the information that I have seen presented doesn't seem satisfactory.

Copyright tags is defined as having the page mediawiki:licenses not be empty. There is no check for that page actually having legit copyright tags, only that it has content.
