I was having an issue with the "Meta in many languages" section of the main page; it wouldn't display properly--probably because of the depreciated <small> tag; I fixed it in http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:MetaHomePages&diff=prev&oldid=1228136. However, it seems this language list is getting a bit bulky to be at the top of the Main Page of meta anyway, and I think the page could probably use a face-lift.
Any suggestions?

It could be replaced with a drop down list, which when changed takes the reader to the selected language.
