Hello guys, Let me first start by congratulating Stephen in his efforts to finalize the 3rd and final phase of the Wikipedia for Schools project. Secondly, I would like to urge the Nyeri team to prioritize those who haven't participated in the prior regions (such as Grace and Ann). I believe that these people should first be given an opportunity to go, before giving room to others who went to Kakamega and Mombasa. Thirdly, I must say (and the Kakamega & Mombasa team leaders will agree with me on this) that we overspent in Kakamega and Mombasa at the unfortunate expense of Nyeri. This is due to a number of reasons including:-the unfavourable bank exchange rate, -Kakamega team increased cost of internal transport,-Kakamega incresed cost of previsit,-Mombasa increased cost of accommodation. So, what do we do now? Oscar, Stephen and I are from having a discussion regarding the above. Taking our experiences from Mombasa and Kakamega, we all agreed that 6 people per school is a little too much. We have therefore proposed a cut from 6 people to 4 people. What are your thoughts? PS -- Being the first time for us to budget, I do believe that it's not a really bad thing for us to overspend. Regards,

Hi guys, The Nyeri previsit has been a success now that this was just the first day. I have managed to visit four schools.
One thing I have noted different with Nyeri, all these schools have internet connection unlike the incidents in the other regions, sorry to say,and even better they all have websites.
The teachers involved have been receptive to the idea that the content that we are giving has been filtered for secondary curricular and that this would be used when the teachers would not be able to be around when students are around,on that note so far Three schools have said "yes we can" proceed.
They are; Nyeri high School. St. Marys Secondary school Nyeri Baptist high.
Mt. Kenya academy senior school said they would call back after making up their mind, which to me sounded like a NO.
Cheers

That is encouraging Steve, given that this was just the beginning. It seems you will have many more Yeses, so please try to prioritize on those schools which have no internet access, I am sure they are there especially in the remote areas. Nice job and good luck

Hi guys, The Nyeri previsit has been a success now that this was just the

I have managed to visit four schools.
One thing I have noted different with Nyeri, all these schools have

even
better they all have websites.
The teachers involved have been receptive to the idea that the
content
that
we are giving has been filtered for secondary curricular and that
this
would
be used when the teachers would not be able to be around when
students
are
around,on that note so far Three schools have said "yes we can"
proceed.
They are; Nyeri high School. St. Marys Secondary school Nyeri Baptist high.
Mt. Kenya academy senior school said they would call back after
making
up their mind, which to me sounded like a NO.
