As the vice chair of the board, is your work to question every little thing people do? There is a proper way to handle issues. That does not mean avoiding them but it also does not mean confrontation. You are part of the board, meaning you are on the board's mailing list, why did you choose this as the forum for your questions? Display leadership not the autocracy you exhibited over the financial issues with Steve.

Above being a Board Member, I am a member of WMKE and like any other member, shouldn't I behave like a member? Anyway , carry on with the meeting plans, I dint know I was being a pain in the as* with my concerns. I just believe that Wikimedia Kenya is an open movement and as such, all issues relating to it should be dealt in an open way.

If it were you asking that question, I would have no issue. Oscar is part of the board and there is a mailing list for the board. And yes, that was the plan, just not in the way Oscar wants to bring it. Just so you know, 2 of the board members might not be present for the meetup but the plan is to have a board meeting before then so the board can report on that.

Hi David, That is a good way. If that is the case (Board meeting before 8th) Then I will attend. Just so you know, it was not Oscar who disrupted the last meetup and I do not question his concerns because I beleive they are genuine. Secondly, if Oscar is aware that there is going to be a board meeting, then I feel in my opinion that it was unwise for him to have raised that question here and he already knows. its in the interest of wmke for the board to bond and work together in harmony, we condemn the name calling bit , For the deputy chair to talk in the manner that he did points out to the frustration and lack of communication @ the board level ,for the audit committee to opt out like it did points out to the same, ,The chair rather that retorting should reach out to his colleagues and set out the communication channels to avert such,Now thats leadership. i am of the opinion that the board meets b4 8th and do the in house agree on issues we raised then collectively respond to chapter members on 8th ,thats just but a suggestion , Guys lets avoid the sideshows coz @ the end the day ,this issues must be addressed .

I'm terribly sorry for the mixup everyone with regards to today's meetup not happening. We had it set out until late yesterday and it's quite unfortunate that an update wasn't posted on the list.
