Dear all,

as proposed in our last WikiGLAM-CH meeting I will host some virtual workshops with an introduction to use Open Refine for uploading files to Wikimedia Commons. I have prepared a nuudle date survey to clarify which date will we choose. Please feel free to share this information to other colleagues you have in mind, who could be interested in this topic!

Description: Since 2022 Open Refine allows uploading files to Wikimedia Commons. With Open Refine GLAM institutions have a really powerful tool both to upload digital objects to Commons and describe such object not only with "classic wikitext" but also with Structured Data on Commons and also in Wikidata or any other Wikibase.

in this workshop (series) i will give some basic insights how to use Open Refine (locally installed or even via the PAWS virtual instance) für typical GLAM projects.
