Dear Wiki-Yorkers,
You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community *tonight* May 25 for
our monthly WikiWednesday Salon at 7PM.
We look forward to seeing local Wikimedians, but would also like to invite
folks from the greater New York metropolitan area (and beyond!) who might
not typically be able to join us in person!
If there's a project you'd like to share or a question you'd like answered,
just let us know by adding it to the agenda or responding to this message.
Topics for this WW could be Swedish consulate event, Hackathon+picnic,
Wikimedia NYC outdoor possibilities for coming months, and other editathons.

Dear Wiki-Yorkers,
You are invited to join us for a planned outdoor Wiki-Picnic and Hackathon
("Hacknic") gathering with the local Wikimedia NYC community, Sunday May
22, 12-5pm at the 10th Avenue Lawn of Brooklyn's Prospect Park.
You can sign up here for Sunday:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Hacknic_2022
Some food will be provided, including vegetarian quiches! However, you can
volunteer to bring potluck food, supplies and recreations as you feel
inspired!
Among other activities, we will have elements of a wiki-themed game
jam, including
"Wiki-Dixit" and an attempt at designing a Wikipedia/Wikimedia card game.
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition,
to participate in person you should be vaccinated and also be sure to
respect others' personal space, and we may limit overall attendance size if
appropriate.
Directions:
The nearest subway stop is 15th Street–Prospect Park station (F, G trains).
Walking east on Prospect Park Southwest a block and a half from
Bartel-Pritchard Square, there is a small entrance between 10th and 11
Avenues that leads directly to the picnic location:

Thanks,
Richard
