The hard deadline to apply is sometime today (unclear exactly when), so please jump in now so our winning candidate can register and actually attend!

I imagine that people can express opinions about and support as many candidates as they like, "Approval voting style" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Approval_voting) so I've done so. If folks think we should have different ground rules, please speak up about that also ;)
Yay, thanks! How does Approval Voting work if you vote for all the candidates, though? Doesn’t that mean that only my (old-fashioned, first-past-the-post) vote counts?
We could set a deadline for 5pm or 7pm MT unless we hear back from your query to the Foundation. If we don’t have enough votes for a winning candidate (maybe three?), it might be more fair to pick one randomly, which I’d have no problem with — all three candidates are GREAT, and I’d no problem with sending any of them to this meeting!

Thanks for taking the lead on this, Isarra, and thanks all the candidates for applying — I wish we had more than one slot to send people on!
I’ve voted at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_of_Colorado_User_Group/wmcon-201... — if anybody else has an opinion on this, please make it known ASAP!
(We should probably also vaguely start thinking about how we can fund as many people as possible to WikiConference USA 2017.)

Okay, Neil and Abhay put in some excellent responses, nobody else bit, so now we need to pick one of them. We can argue about it here, or vote on the page. I recommend voting on the page since that way it'll be easier for anyone to just say one or the other or both if they want to, but it depends who even wants to weigh in, too.

Of the best-suited to represent Colorado Wikimedians, it may very well indeed be the most fierce of competitions between Neal and Gaurav, as Neal has obviously made significant contributions to Wikipedia's infrastructure while Gaurav has obviously made significant contributions to Wikipedia's content. I vote to send them both disguised as one person?
Ha, thanks! Unfortunately, I’d be a really bad person to represent Wikimedians of Colorado given that I’ve moved to Florida :)
Thanks to Neal and Isarra for setting up and sharing https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedians_of_Colorado_User_Group/wmcon-201... — we have one candidate already! Let’s see how many we can get by January 6, maybe 11:59pm MT?
cheers, Gaurav
If you are curious as to why my response is all the way down here, it's because I encountered this very interesting SuperUser answer recently.
