Hi Brianna,
I just know this information from you, but I guess we have some people know
about this event already. (Some of WMTW board members are in Academia Sinica
and they used to work with CC Taiwan)
I might not be able to join this event because I would be still in
California at the time when the event is held due to my business trip, but I
will cc this information to our members to invite them to join (and I
believe they would love to join this kind of event).
Thanks a lot for letting me know, and you are welcomed to let me know other
information in the future. ;)
Hi Wikimania Taiwan members, just a FYI. ACIA workshop is going to be held
in Taipei on Jan. 19-20 and you are welcomed to join this event. You can see
more details below.
Best regards,
Ted

And I know it's short notice for international travel, but wanted to make
sure everyone had heard about the "Asia and Commons in the Information Age"
(ACIA) workshop being held in Taipei on Jan 19-20, 2008.
This is a forum being organised by Academia Sinica and CC Taiwan for those
working in the commons in Asia and the Pacific to discuss issues,
experiences and development opportunities specific to the region. It should
be a significant event, with Terry Fisher as the keynote speaker, and
confirmed participants from a broad range of countries.
You can find the draft program:
http://meeting.creativecommons.org.tw/ac:program.
The workshop is free to attend (with a token payment for food) and
self-sponsored (ie participants have to arrange their own transportation to
the workshop venue). The host organisation, Academia Sinica, is helping out
with some inexpensive accomodation, but you'll have to be quick.
If you're interested in the event or the commons in Asia, you might also
want to join the Asia Commoners mailing list -
