== New Director of Learning and Evaluation: Rosemary Rein [1]==
We are happy to announce that Rosemary Rein as the Director of the Learning
and Evaluation team, part of Community Engagement department at Wikimedia
Foundation. Rosemary has been working with us for the past four weeks, and
many have already met her in person at Wikimedia Conference workshops.
Prior to joining our team, she served as Director of Learning and Knowledge
Management for United Way Worldwide and as Vice Chair of the Board of
Trustees for the Creative Education Foundation and the Creative Problem
Solving Institute. Her background includes global consulting for Fortune
500 and non-profit organizations in the areas of leadership, knowledge
management, non profit governance and innovation. She has lived and worked
in the US and Latin America as well as worked on extended project
assignments in India, the UAE and South Africa. Please join us in welcoming

If you missed the last in-person workshops, learn all about the pre
conference workshops at Wikimedia Conference 2015. In this new blogpost, we
share with the movement at large how the last evaluation workshop turned
out, participants’ experiences and feedback, and the many resources shared
throughout the conference to develop capacity in evaluation and strategic
planning. Help us spread the word by commenting the blog and sharing on

== New Learning Day: July 15, Wikimania México [3] ==
In the days prior to Wikimania 2015, Learning and Evaluation team will host
a new learning day. Due to reduced capacity, participation in Learning Day
is by invitation only and participants will have the opportunity to further
engage in topics such as tracking and reporting, storytelling,
organizational development, and other topics in evaluation. If you have
received an invitation email, please be sure to confirm your attendance and
remember to fill out the survey! If you have not yet been contacted by
someone on the Learning and Evaluation team, and would like to take part,
please email us at eval(a)wikimedia.org. You can also follow the event page
