Hi everyone,
I'm attaching the venue map with this email.
I couldn't update it on the wiki page. So if this map is OK, then kindly
upload it on the wiki page. I'm sure it will help the participants a lot.

Hi,
Arun, i happened to visit NIAS last year as part of Mozilla devcamp, it is
aptly suited as you have said in the previous mail. I'll just give you
points on how things were set up then,
1. The lobby just before the Main Audi was used to register the participants
and also to distribute swags at the end of the event.
2. A small covered area which you had mentioned, was used to serve lunch.
Most of them had to sit on the grass and have lunch then.
3. As the main audi doesnt have much of power plugin points, getting laptops
wouldnt be viable.
For registration :
1. I suggest using EventBrite http://www.eventbrite.com/fees/ as its free.
It gives a compact registration derails of the delegates. Also we will be
able to restrict the number of participants according to the capacity of the
audi.
2. If one feels this is complicated then we can as well go with the Google
Docs as registration form.
For Publicty :
1. I saw Tinucherian would be able to do through main stream media, but once
we get done with the registration form, we can start tweeting about it and
also pass on to the numerous open source communities. That should help us
get the proper audience.
I've spread the word on the requirement for volunteers, I hope to see few
joining the mailing list shortly

Srikanta

Hi all,
Arun, Tinu and myself have been working on the venue and we visited the NIAS
(IISc campus) yesterday. The venue looks good and we would mostly be
confirming this place soon. Pictures[1]. Arun, can you please confirm
this? I have applied a grant of 1000 USD for the event.Details[2]. The
merchandise from foundation is on transit and we would get it in another few
days.
We still have to work on the content format, speakers, food, PR,printing
banners, pamphlets etc and a lot more. We are having the daily call for last
3 days and participation is very low.It would be great if the participation
increases from the core wikipedians to support this event to make it a huge
success.
We shall have the call at 10 pm starting today since some of us are getting
late.I request you to join the call and help in volunteering for any of the
above tasks. We need more support to make this event happen at the scale we
are planning.
Thank you!

Hi everybody,
I know i'm dropping by at the last hour but I was going through the webpage
of 10th anniversary and found out that IIITB has been considered as a
potential venue. I saw the email thread where 2 venues have already given
their confirmation in hosting the event.
I'm a student at IIITB and if you are still in the planning stage, i can
just check with our professors if we can host the anniversary event. As it
has been discussed in the previous, our college is best suited for parallel
talks (classrooms) and also a main talk at the audi. There are a bunch of
enthusiastic students who are ready to volunteer. So that might help as well
Let me know ASAP.

Srikanta

Dear all,
A good development!
We have confirmation from of one venue offer from Inuit.
And NIAS will confirm tomorrow by 11 AM. Spoke to Director who was very
supportive.
More later in the evening call.
Now to get the content engine moving.
Look forward to everyone chipping in, we need help.
regards
Arun
The Jnana Jyothi Auditorium in Bangalore University, (Near Avenue Road) has
a seating of 1200, I guess it would be available easily for such events.
But one needs to approach the registrar, for that. Sometimes even they wave
of the rent.
