Dear all,
Maybe this is not the right time to share this. But the w:Software Freedom
Day (SFD) is just around the corner and I was wondering if we could gather,
celebrate the day and also get to meet the Bengaluru community members.
This might be a small gesture to come together with solidarity and stand
against the odds of hatred and anger that we all have been witnessing since
last two weeks in both the states.
SFD is celebrated globally on the third Saturday of September, and this
year it is falling on the 17th of this month. A few topics we can discuss
can be:
* the philosophy of software freedom in our lives
* how free and open source software can make a difference in one's life and
work
* how you can promote FOSS/FLOSS among people around you
*And we will try to keep the event as open as possible to discuss anything
more that is related to openness, open licensing and software freedom.
Please do share here/offlist if you are interested to join. I will be
sharing the link to the public wiki soon once at least five-ten people show
interest.
Best,
Subhashish
