Our first event at the Library Lab is tomorrow! We're holding an OpenStreetMap party, starting at 11 am.
No prior knowledge, no GPS, etc. required. Wikimedians are most welcome to join and help kick off the Library Lab, with the first event.

I'd like to invite you to join for a mapping party this Saturday, September 3 at the Martin Luther King Jr. DC Public Library. We will meet at 11 am in the LibLab (Library Lab), which is in the corner, on the first floor, in the Business & Technology room.
We will be mapping the downtown DC / Chinatown / Penn Quarter areas, which have changed a lot since our last mapping party in the area, and still have more detail to add. We will also be training library staff and new mappers about OSM.
We would like to make these mapping parties an ongoing thing this Fall, initially at MLK and, if it goes well, at the branch libraries and to involve youths in mapping.
Cheers, Katie
