Hi!
We are Wikimedia DRC and a user group affiliated to WMF. We want to promote
the local languages of the DRC in the Wikimedia movement. Therefore, we
have submitted a request for funding for a project that will last for about
6 months.
The project has been well received for the first phase. We are at
present in the second phase for which the community must express itself on
the project and endorse it if possible.
Here is the link to our project:
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/WMDRC_-_UG_2020_Activities.
We need your advice, suggestions and/or questions as well as your
endorsement to help us go through with the project.
Sincerely yours,

Bonjour,

Hello Everyone,
This is the last call (reminder) for volunteer mentors for this round's
Google Code-In Program 2018 in the Wikimedia movement from Africa.
If you're interested in mentoring, sign-up and list yourself here as
mentor: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T203068.
Looking forward to getting more sign-ups and this time around, we're
working with absolute certainty as Wikimedia was selected as one of the
mentoring organisations[1] :)

Dear community members,
The deadline for the Wiki-Indaba 2019 Community Engagement Survey has been shifted from August 3rd to August 17th, 2018. This is because the response to the survey was pretty low and we want to better understand what the community expects from the local organizing committee. If you have filled the survey, please prevail on other community members to do the same, if you have not, the survey takes less that three (3) minutes to fill, please do so now.
Please find below a link to the Wiki-Indaba 2019 Community Engagement Survey.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1s7wvhWn1nqI_eFE1eww1Jl9gwD4VZq0nrrTz9TNJeo…
Please fill the survey before Friday August 17th so we can better understand your preferences for Wiki Indaba 2019.
Thank you.
