September 19: Curationist Metadata Learning & Unlearning Summit

Apologies for the very late notice, but I thought this group may be interested in attending our event tomorrow! For those that cannot make it, we will also be publishing our report on this research. Please join us for the upcoming Curationist Metadata Learning & Unlearning Summit! The session will take place on September 19th from 11 am to 12:30 pm ET. This online event will bring together metadata experts and enthusiasts to advance our vision of providing open access to cultural heritage through a social justice lens. Last year’s summit <https://www.curationist.org/editorial-features/article/metadata-learning-an…> sparked wide-ranging discussions on the colonial and imperial legacies in metadata and explored values and practices to address these issues. This year, we’re focusing on the integration of Wikidata <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Main_Page>—both as a source of controlled descriptive vocabularies and as a potential template schema for our metadata, which primarily comes from museums. We'll share our research into evaluating Wikidata and Wikibase as tools to improve Curationist's cultural heritage data in front of a panel of Wiki experts. We will be learning in public! Invalid CSRF tokin error while importing high-volume data to WBS instance

Hello, I was wondering if anyone using the current version of WBS has encountered the following error while importing high-volume data using Wikibase Integrator scripts? wikibaseintegrator.wbi_exceptions.MWApiError: 'Invalid CSRF token.' The full description of my setup and error information is on the following phabricator ticket I recently opened: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T375140 The error is not related to a specific data item but seems related to the size (since if I make it small enough there is not a problem) or the length of the session. The container logs on the phabricator ticket explain more.

Wikibase Suite Deploy

Hi all, Has anyone run into issues with search after deploying Wikibase Suite Deploy on docker? I have installed WSD on Ubuntu 22.04 without error, but e.g. can not add properties to an item (phabricator ticket here <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T371162>). Deploying Wikibase Suite on Openshift

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has setup Wikibase Suite within the context of a shared container service that uses OpenShift? In particular, I am wondering if anyone has tried the building method based on using the GitHub code for the repository. I am trying to figure out how to do that but don't know much about OpenShift. If someone has done that before it would be very helpful to see what they did.

Wikibase integration with Wikidata?

Hello, Our organization currently uses Wikidata subject terms for our taxonomy, but we apply them manually. We are researching setting up a Wikibase, but I am curious about the interoperability with Wikidata. Does anyone have any examples of a Wikibase instance that is interoperable with Wikidata?
