I thought I should drop you a line about Wikimedia
UK's new treasurer,
Greyham Dawes. I've sat down and had a meeting with him today, and he's
really instilled me with confidence. You can read more about him on the
blog post at
http://blog.wikimedia.org.uk/2013/02/greyham-dawes-joins-the-wikimedia-uk-b….
He's not signed up to any lists yet, but I'm sure he'll be helpful when
he does - he is a chartered accountant, and indeed has written several
books on UK charity accounting. He's also a treasurer at several other
organisations in the UK, and used to be head of accountancy policy at
the Charity Commission.
Very interesting, in short an external expert appointed treasurer,
right? The authors of the Articles of Association have been wise, I see.
