Looks like it's truncated to 8 characters; Most logical solution might be running 'setpass'. I am quite new to the toolserver, so I don't know if it was different before, but it looks like the fastest solution to me.

I'm also in the same loop. In addition, when I was trying to run 'passwd', I got the following message.
wiki_researcher@willow:~$ passwd passwd: Changing password for wiki_res passwd: User unknown: wiki_res
My account id is 'wiki_researcher', not 'wiki_res'. Does anyone have the same issue?

I have a problem regarding LDAP passwd.
I tried 'acctrenew' but it said my LDAP passwd is wrong. I tried to reset my LDAP passwd by 'resetpasswd'. It said I need to set my email address. To set email address, I need to provide correct LDAP passwd.
I'm in the loop. Would you help me?

The tool asks me for an "ldap password". I am not sure but I think I don't have one. I log on with ssh using my public key...
Kind regards, Kay
