Maybe those hammers are for mining (and used as symbols therefore), but the whole draft really looks a little bit old fashioned socialistic. ...and even the mining relationship would represent only a part of the toolserver functionality.

With all the respect to the creator and agreeing with a necessity of new
logo, I don't like the idea of crossed hammers. This symbol has been profanated in former so called eastern block by communists and it kind of recalls old bad times. It's my POV for sure, but I guess, there are more people with same feeling.

I think, that idea is great, cause toolserv is used for data mining on wikimedia projects :)
