Summary: welcome.py can't fetch user list anymore
Initial Comment:
Welcome.py doesn't seems to fetch the user list correctly anymore, and "finish" (close) almost immediatly.
-confirmed broken at : 15 nov 2008 1:30 (automatic daily svn update)
-Updated to revision 6099.
darkoneko@nightshade:~/pywikipedia$ python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py -nlog -timeoffset:60 -random -limit:300 -break
Checked for running processes. 1 processes currently running, including the current process.
Loading latest 300 new users from fr.wikipedia.org...
Loading random signatures...
Loaded all users...
darkoneko@nightshade:~/pywikipedia$
-also tried with the following parameters :
python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py -nlog -timeoffset:60 -random -limit:3000 -break
python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py -nlog -timeoffset:60 -limit:3000 -break
python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py -limit:3000 -break
python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py -break
and python $HOME/pywikipedia/welcome.py
My guess is that either the bot framework or the wiki (parameter names ?) had something changed about the page retrieval yesterday.

This is unrelated to the current bug.
Please check that console_encoding in your user-config.py is set to the
good value. Try quoting properly your arguments : " here are unbalanced.
Similarly, escaping ç shouldn't be necessary.
Open a new bug if you cannot find a way to fix this =)

I went more deeply into that code, intending several fixes. Can you upgrade
to the last svn version, and try again ?
I tried with Djvu of E. Dickinson and the script was working. I'd be happy
to try with Danton's djvu if necessary :)

Summary: interwiki hints from file
Initial Comment:
It would be helpful if interwiki.py could read hints not only from console but also from a file, one per line, e.g. like this:
# [[:xx:page_without_interwiki]] [[:en:English_page_used_as_a_hint]]
please add this option. thanks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody)
Date: 2008-11-14 17:12
Message:
I think the best syntax for this option would be:
interwiki.py -hint:file:[hints_file.txt]
if no filename is specified after "file", ask for it from console.
it would make this option consistent with other existing hint options like
number of languages, "all" or "latin".
