Hello folks!
We know these are challenging times for everyone, and especially for the cultural sector. Several people are getting laid off or dramatically having to change their roles, scope of work, or methodologies. Institutions are dealing with a lot of uncertainty and very dramatic budget reductions. There's also an unnecessary pressure for "being productive" in times were folks might be struggling with isolation or illness -- all in all, a very challenging scenario.
So we acknowledge these are hard times to think about the future and the opportunities for openness in the cultural sector, but we still want to touch base and see how everyone is doing and provide some updates of where we are with the Open GLAM Declaration.
That's why we are keeping our community call for Thursday April 9 (tomorrow), at 10 AM EST - 3 PM CET - 11 AM UTC-3 on Uberconference: https://www.uberconference.com/openglam
We'll be sharing some updates about the current status of the Declaration, check in with people, and also comment on some activities & methodologies we're planning for keeping people engaged with the conversation during these times.
See you tomorrow! scann
