Hi,
Did we make any progress on the next blog post to be published, since our
last IRC meeting?
Should Jon/Arne/Austin just pick one from the ones already scheduled[1] on
the wiki? Can we help in any way?
Best regards,
Bence

(Breaking this out into a new thread.)
Now that the dates for the Frankfurt meeting have been finalized, I'll
add a few more details.
The exact venue hasn't yet been determined, but obviously it'll be a
suitable space in Frankfurt am Main, so in the meantime it's safe to
make plans to fly into FRA. (Or book train tickets to FAM Hbf., if
you're close enough and so inclined.) The idea is to start first
thing on the 29th and break up after lunch on the 30th, so plan to
arrive the evening of the 28th and leave as late as you're comfortable
with on the 30th.
The primary goal of the meeting is to synthesize the work done in the
prior three months and lay out a basic road map for the coming months.
There will be at least one IRC session for those unable to attend in
person and other interested parties, although the exact time for that
hasn't been decided.
If you have any questions, as always, feel free to e-mail me or Jon.
Best,
Austin
Hi all
Reflecting the IRC chat on 11/5, we have revised our plan for the next three months. Before our next IRC chat on 11/19, we'd appreciate your help. Please could you review the movement roles pages on meta (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Movement_roles_project) and let us know whether they are ready to receive views and contributions from the broadest possible range of Wikimedians?
We've tried to set up the movement roles pages on meta to make it easy for Wikimedians to share their views. They can contribute to our blog, answer our questions on meta, suggest Wikimedians we should hear from, fill out our fact base, and share views on peer organizations.
We've left on the movement roles wiki only the list of people to interview, the sequence of topics for the blog, and some interview notes and survey results (http://movementroles.wikimedia.org/wiki/Index). Could you also review these lists?
On the IRC chat on 11/19 we would like to focus on how to encourage participation from as broad a range of Wikimedians as possible. So that we are ready by then, could you help us by reviewing the movement roles pages on meta so that we can build them in before our IRC chat on 11/19?
So that we can incorporate your thoughts before we send out the agenda for the call, PLEASE REPLY by Thursday, 11/18.
Cheers,
Arne, Austin & Jon
Just a quick note to say that Asaf Bartov expressed interest in
working on the project, and asked to join the list and wiki. In
accordance with our informal access policy, I've gone ahead and
granted him access.
Welcome, Asaf!
Austin
Hi guys,
Just a quick reminder of the meeting tomorrow, 5 November, 1500 UTC on
IRC. It will once again be on irc.freenode.net in the
#wikimedia-roles channel; you can join using your favorite IRC client,
or via http://webchat.freenode.net/
There's no fixed agenda, but the discussion will be guided by
http://movementroles.wikimedia.org/wiki/Next_steps — a page I'd
encourage everyone to take a look at anyway. There's plenty of work
to be done between now and the January meeting in Frankfurt.
If you have any questions, as always, let me know.
Cheers,
Austin
Hi guys,
Just a reminder (or FYI, for those of you recently joining us) of our
upcoming meeting dates. All times are 1500 UTC.
* 5 November
* 19 November
* 3 December
* 17 December
* 7 January
* 21 January
I'm not going to set up Doodles for these—if you have a problem with
any of the dates/times, just shoot me a note.
Additionally, Jon, Arne, I, and anyone who wants to turn up will be
meeting the weekend of 29/30 January in Frankfurt. The current plan
is to have at least one remote session (IRC or concall, yet to be
determined), with one for sure at 1500 UTC on the 30th. Please let me
know if you'll be there in person or attending remotely.
Cheers,
Austin
