Hi,
Today i tried to use the QRpedia codes form my android phone. the QR code scanner app asked me to open the link on the Wikipedia Android app or on the browser. When i select the wikipedia app, the app shows me an empty page, but the browser can open the link properly.
I think it would be great if is it possible to update the Wikipedia app, to open the qrpedia links.

Interesting - thanks for your feedback. I'll open a bug. In any case, we have to consider how prevalent this use case is.
Any other opinions out there? Just to be clear, QRpedia is great, it's just that we have limited resources and must prioritize tasks.

To be clear, the bug most likely likely lies with the app.
Has anyone else run into this?

Me and Jon tested the app with the QRpedia folks at wikimania and it worked fine. This is possiblY a bug caused by the intersection of the different languages involved and the app. will investigate later today

Nasir, what app are you using as a QR code reader? I've been testing with Google Goggles which doesn't appear to follow quite the behavior you're seeing.
Would help to test others. :)

Thanks... OK I think I see what it's doing -- the initial view goes to Browser app and the redirect prompts for the Wikipedia app... however it loads OK for me.
What we probably could do is take the qrwp.org URLs directly which might be less error-prone.

Makes sense to me. Can someone open a ticket?
