Wikimedia Mobile is sometimes useful when the person who raises the bug doesn't know where to put it. Extensions/mobilefrontend is very hidden away. I'd be keen to address this problem in the process.
Also as arthur points out sometimes it's blurry when a bug is project specific and a configuration change... On Oct 18, 2012 6:58 PM, "Andre Klapper" aklapper@wikimedia.org wrote:
<brion> and <tfinc> told me that the "Wikimedia Mobile" product in Wikimedia Bugzilla is rather dead and that bugs should be reported either against "Wikipedia App"/"Wiktionary App"/"WikiLoves Monuments Mobile" for apps, or "MediaWiki extensions" -> "MobileFrontend" for the mobile website.
Is this general consensus? (Silence means agreement.)
If so:
- There are 56 open tickets that need retriaging (your help is welcome):
https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&resolut... 2) I am going to close "Wikimedia Mobile" product for new bug entries, and edit its product description to state where to file tickets instead.

Thanks everybody for the quick feedback & closing/moving reports!
I've closed the Bugzilla product "Wikimedia Mobile" for new bug reports, and I've updated the product description to "Deprecated. Please report bugs either to the corresponding mobile applications products, or to "MediaWiki extensions→MobileFrontend" for mobile website bugs." (However that description is only visible on https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Wikimedia%20Mo... which isn't a very popular place.)

Might be worth to document on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mobile/Feedback ?

Note that "Wikimedia → Site configuration" also exists.

My worry now is people looking at the page: https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/enter_bug.cgi Will not know where to put mobile specific bugs and either file them under MediaWiki or Wikipedia Mobile App.
Is there any way we could add a link on this page to Mobile Site which when clicked populates extensions MobileFrontend ?
Alternatively we should update the description for MediaWiki extensions to say "MediaWiki extensions, including MobileFrontend (mobile specific problems), ParserFunctions, WikiEditor, Cite, etc".

We could, but I'm afraid that it will turn Bugzilla into MobileFeedback with its scary signal/noise ratiio.

I share that worry (and filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=803728 about it).

Not that I know, unfortunately.

Updated to "MediaWiki extensions, including MobileFrontend, ParserFunctions, WikiEditor, Cite, etc."
As written before, updating https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Mobile/Feedback might be good to consider. Currently I can only find "bugs are entered into Bugzilla" on that page, without any link or further explanations/hints.
