On Desktop you don't have an edit button for the section, too:
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia%3AWikipedia_Signpost%2F...
The content of the section in mobile is included with a template if i see this right, isn't it? To change this content you must edit the template target.
Kind regards Florian

Hi, then in this case the problem is that on mobile web there is only one pencil icon on this page when there should be pencils for multiple sections. Should this go on Bugzilla? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2014-07-30/Wiki...
Pine Hello!
To the mobile web problem: do you mean, that it only lpads one section instead of the entire article? If yes: thats normal and expected. On mobile you can edit only a section, not the entire article.
Kind regards, Florian

I get a network error when I try to edit on the Android app, and on moble web only a small section loads in the edit window of the Signpost article I want to edit, but I can read articles ok. Did something break for mobile editing? Thanks, Pine

There's also an off by one somewhere. (maybe some types of sections or templates are uncounted?) In that case clicking edit on a section gives a network error and clicking on the prior section loads the one you actually wanted.
See e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/2014...
(auto edit summary points to wrong section)
Sorry, I'm a bad tester; should have filed this.

Öhm :D Maybe it’s a bad day for me, but i don’t understand what you mean :(
Like i said, on this site there aren’t editable sections, the content is included with a template.
In that case clicking edit on a section gives a network error and clicking on the prior section loads the one you actually wanted.
Can you give an exact example and a step-by-step what you do? That would help to find out, if this is a bug or not :)
Freundliche Grüße / Kind regards
Florian

Please don't send mail that relies on recipients having special dingbat fonts installed.
I gave a diff that is an exact example. Go to the same page and try to edit the same sentence I edited.

In the desktop version I can press the edit tab at the top of the screen to edit the entire Signpost page. On the mobile version no such tab exists.
Look what happens when you try to edit the page by pressing the pencil icon in the upper right corner of the screen. You are directed to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Wikipedia_Signpost/20... which ends with the wikitext "Four [[Wikimedia chapter]]s (Netherlands, UK, France, and Switzerland) provided funding for the project, which Europeana has spent four years developing. It was first announced [[:File:2011 GLAMcamp Amsterdam Mass Upload and Metrics.ogv|in 2011]]." All wikitext below that cannot be edited, starting with the section below called "How does it work?" where no pencil icon exists.
