After a few false starts, the WikiGrok test in stable has finally been activated. This test is for all logged in users of the mobile site for 1 week. I've updated the test documentation here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Mobile_microcontributions/WikiGrok#...
The test officially went live at 00:41 UTC (20141212004100). We will turn it off next Thursday.

Congrats to getting this out, look forward to seeing the results!
Clarification question -- I recall this was intentionally limited to smartphone scale viewport sizes so isn't easy to test on a desktop device, is that still the case? If so could the exact test condition for device eligibility be added to the wiki page?
Thanks, Erik
All devices with a screen width less than 768 pixels are eligible. There is a spike card in the current mobile web development iteration to investigate enabling it for tablets as well: https://trello.com/c/VYQxLlqP/14-spike-1-hour-investigate-supporting-wikigro...

Any chance we could have a *brief* post-mortem to talk about the obstacles and how we might avoid 'em next time?

Many of the actors, writers, and album articles in enwiki. Here are two examples (remember you have to be logged in and the screen size should be small enough): https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaarle_Krohn https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toranj_%28Mohsen_Namjoo_Album%29

Most of the credit should go to Max for writing a completely new back-end from scratch that worked around our two biggest blockers: * API requests on every page load don't scale * Magnus's Wikidata Game engine wasn't reliable/scalable enough
Also special thanks to Leila for coming up with campaign ideas that would work without a query service and doing some very thorough QA work that caught some last minute bugs.
I would also like to thank Dario, Magnus, the rest of the kick-ass mobile web team, my parents, God, and the Foundation!

Are you sure you didn’t forget anyone else? ;))
Where is the code for that? I'm curious about how the strings are shown. I presume that they aren't localizable, but I'd love to start thinking about localzing them.
